Ridiculously Religious

I believe in God & I hope he exists, but either ways I’d hate to know His religion. Religion is funny & cruel. The irony of religion is that because of its power to divert man to destructive courses, the world actually could come to an end. Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking. It’s nothing to brag about. And those who preach faith and elevate it are intellectual slave holders keeping mankind in a bondage to fantasy and nonsense that spawned so much lunacy and destruction.

Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don’t have all the answers to think that they do. Even worse are the spiritual wannabe Godmen or Gurus that religion churns out often. These people have their own corruptions, limitations and agendas. And if they tell you that they know what happens after you die, I promise you that they don’t. How could I be so sure? Because, logically, nobody does and they do not possess mental powers that you & me do not.

The only appropriate attitude for man to have about religion is not the arrogant certitude which is the whole mock up of religion, but, doubt. Doubt is humble and that's what man needs to be considering that human history is just a latten of getting shit, dead wrong. This is why people must end their timidity come out of the closet and assert themselves. And those who are moderately religious must take a look at the mirror and realise that the comfort and solace that religion brings them actually comes at a terrible price. If you belong to a political party or a social club that was tied to as much a bigger tree, homophobia, violence & sheer ignorance as religion is, you'd resign in protest. To do otherwise is being an enabler with the true devils of extremism that draw their legitimacy from the billions of their fellow travellers.

The hour is getting very late to be able to indulge in having key decisions made by religious people, by irrationals who'd steer the ship of state not by a compass, but, by the equivalent of reading the entrails of a chicken. If the world does come to an end now or if it limps into the future it would be because of the effect of a religion inspired nuclear terrorism. Then let’s at least remember what the real problem was, that, we learnt how to precipitate mass death before we got past the neurological disorder of wishing for it. The plain fact is that religion must die for mankind to live.
